    Whatever Happened To Blue Jeans?

I'm wondering if the pants they're refering to here as the kind that are sold in such "quality stores" like Hot Topic. You know, the kind of pants that are so baggy, they make you look like an escapee from Ringling Brothers' Clown College.

When I was in 6th grade, I wore a "Hi, I'm Bart Simpson. Who the Hell are You?" shirt to school on a dare. Of course, the moment I walked in I was told to turn it inside ou and never wear it again. But hey, I netted some cash in the deal.

In my early twenties, I also used to wear some of these "baggy" pants when we'd go raving (in So Cal). But I never wore some of those ULTRA-BAGGY pants, like these.

Reminds me of Something Denis Leary said:
Back in the early seventies, you couldn't buy anything except bell bottoms. There were no straight pants in the f***ing stores, ok? The only way you could be a cooler guy, was to get bigger bell bottoms. We used to sit around and get high and go, "Man, when I some money, I'm getting the biggest bell bottoms in history, man! They're gonna start at my neck and go twenty feet straight out, man! I'm gonna be surrounded by ninety feet of bell bottoms! Homeless people are going to be living under my pants, man! I'll have platform shoes. I'll be twenty feet tall."

I can top bell bottoms. I'm cringing while I type, but yes, there was a time in my teens when I actually owned a pair of parachute pants.
